Handmade Stained Glass Death's Head Hawk Moth Brooch Pin with Engraved Skull and Decorative Soldering All Iridescent Red Amber and Yellow

This Death's Head Hawk Moth has been assembled using a combination of fully iridized pale mottled yellow and a fully iridized rough rolled red/green/amber mixed glass for the wings. The lower abdomen has been created using a bit of fully iridized grey and brown mottled glass and the thorax has been constructed using fully iridized black glass and hand-engraved. The engraving has been filled with a silver paste was to help it stand out and show the signature 'skull' that makes these Moths a favorite.

The stained glass Death's Head Hawk Moth has been fixed onto stainless steel brooch pins by using copper foil around the top bar that has been burnished and then soldered into place. This connection is soldered directly to the bottom side of the body.

These beautiful handmade brooch pins were hand patterned, cut, foiled, soldered, and finished by yours truly.

Each of these brooch pins measure a little more than 4 1/4” inches wide by 2 1/2” inches tall and about 3/8" thick/deep.

These Brooch pins come packaged in a black cotton lined gift box with lid and come immaculately finished with a fabric bow holding it all together.

NOTE: this item has been assembled with LEAD FREE solder. The clip itself is stainless steel.
